Gateways from a life theme to the places in the Qur'an where its vocabulary works hardest. Pick a theme; get its root families, the computed key passages, and a self-study kit.
~ Themes are gateways from an editorially chosen root family to the passages where that vocabulary clusters, so a theme can also live in verses using none of these words. How themes are built.
Self-study kit (works for any theme)
- Open each passage and read the whole discourse around it (use Prev/Next on the Read page): who is being addressed, and what came before?
- Follow one root into the Roots explorer: where else does it cluster, and in which period?
- Write down, in your own words, what the passages agree on and where they differ.
