Exercises
Practice reading the Qur'an structurally. Each exercise asks you to commit to a reading first, then checks it against a verifiable source: Khan's published outlines or the corpus data itself.
Outline a discourse: al-'AsrPropose the structure of Surah 103 verse by verse, then compare
your reading against the outline in Irfan Ahmad Khan's
An Exercise in Understanding the Qur'an (2013).
Spot the rootsSix short surahs. Tap the words you think share a triliteral
root, then reveal the recurring root families computed from the
Leeds corpus morphology.
Planned
Khan's An Exercise in Understanding the Qur'an outlines all thirty of the final discourses (Surahs 85–114). Further outline exercises in the al-'Asr format will be added as each outline is transcribed from the book, so that every exercise remains traceable to its published source. Corrections and transcription help are welcome via the GitHub repository.
